Report file

When performing export or import operation the system forms diagnostic messages which can be placed to report file on operation. The page of import wizard connected with selecting report file is shown at figure 61-3.

Apart from messages about errors, data about performing the operation is included into report file: total number of features in the source – GDB component or import file, number of features which were loaded in import or stored in export, errors in the settings or structure of features which didn't permit loading of some feature during import and so on.

If report file is not created, all the diagnostics will be inaccessible.

The existing file can be chosen as report file. In this case it is required to select one of the two modes: Append (new data will be written to the end of the file) or Overwrite (data existing in the file will be removed and new data will replace it).

It is recommended always to make a report file – using it one can estimate if the operation was a success or not.
