At this step it is required to enter a name of report file on export (see chapter 60 “General characteristic of import/export operations”, subsection “Report file”). Extension EXS is usually chosen for report files on export to SHP format.
Table 66-1 contains a list of messages about errors and other messages placed by the system to report file and containing data about results of performing export operations.

Total exported features:… | Number of map features exported to SHP files. |
Total exported records:… | Number of table records linked with map features exported to DBF files. |
Total exported empty records:… | Number of empty records of DBF files corresponding to map features with which no records of tables being exported are linked. |
Total exported feature identification records:… | Number of DBF file records corresponding to features of those types for which linked table for export is not specified. These lines contain internal numbers (ISN) of the corresponding features. |
Error of linked record export - empty record was exported. | An attempt of exporting the record failed due to overflowing of fields, input/output errors or for other reasons. An empty record is exported. |
Layer … Feature type … - multiple link mode … . First record linked with feature was exported | A message is displayed before performing export in the case if a multiple link with the table being exported is set for feature type being exported. First linked record found will be exported for every feature. |
Record … Field … - Field overflow | Field value does not fit into the number of positions set for it in the settings. In case of a numeric value an empty record will be exported. For string field the result depends on the settings: either a truncated string or an empty record is exported. |
