As it was said before, the system will try to sew only features of one type located in one layer. Only the features which boundaries are laying within the sewing region will be subject to sewing.
The command Sewing can be performed for different GDB components: a map, map layer and so on. Sewing of some definite feature types from definite layers is executed depending on the component for which the command is performed:
for a map – sewing of features of all types in all layers of selected map;
for map layer – sewing of features of all types in selected map layer;
for feature type of map layer – sewing of features of selected type of map layer;
for a theme – sewing of features of all types included into layers of selected theme;
for map layer in a theme – sewing features of all types included into selected theme layer.
Let us note than presence of filter, size and slope of theme displaying region do not affect selection of features for sewing.
