Adding and removing rows and columns

In the course of working with a table the user can add or remove rows and columns.

To remove one or several neighboring rows it is necessary to select a rectangular block of cells first including cells from rows subject to removal. In particular, to remove one row it is enough to select any cell from this row. After that one should perform the menu command Edit+Delete Rows or push the button of the standard toolbar.

By analogy, to remove columns it is required to select cells in the columns being removed and then perform the menu command Edit+Delete Columns or push the button .

To insert one or several empty rows into a table one should also select the block of cells, the number of rows in this block will determine the number of rows being inserted, and inserted rows will be placed before selected ones. Insertion of rows is performed by the menu command Edit+Insert Rows or pushing the button of the standard toolbar.

Insertion of columns before selected block is performed similarly. For this purpose the menu command Edit+Insert Columns or the button is used.

The insertion method described above does not give a possibility to add rows after the bottom row or add columns to the right of the last column. To perform these operations it is necessary to reset selection of cells (the menu command Edit+Reset Selection or a combination keys <Ctrl+E>). After that each time commands Insert Rows and Insert Columns will add one row or one column to the end of the table correspondingly.

When removing and adding rows and columns correction of arrays of data taking into account changing of addresses of cells linked with source of data is performed.
