One can choose any fill or hatch style (or both) available in the shared style library or in the library of the current GDB as a background at which values in cells will be displayed. To do this it is necessary to select these cells and then use the menu command Format+Cells and select the tab Background in the property sheet “Properties of cells”. Another method of choosing the fill style of selected cells (but not hatch style) is connected with using the toolbar button
. A click on the right part of the button permits selection of one of the standard fill styles or selection of any fill style from the library using the button Other (in this case a dialog box “Fill style” is opened). A click on the left part of the button selects the same fill style.
Specified cell background is not used if the mode of highlighting the array of values is set (see “The notion of an array of values”).
