Copying of cell contents

The menu Edit of the window “Table contents” contains commands standard for Windows application Cut, Copy and Paste (standard toolbar buttons , and , combinations of keys <Ctrl+X>, <Ctrl+C> and <Ctrl+V> correspond to them). These commands serve for moving or copying values of one or several table cells to other cells of the same table or of a different table stored in one of the layouts of the current GDB. Moving values to layout table of another GDB opened in a different ObjectLand copy working simultaneously is also possible.

The command Copy can be performed if there is one selected cell in the table or selected rectangular block of cells. If a non-rectangular set of cells is selected, an attempt to perform copying operation will cause a message about an error. When the command Copy is performed, copies of the contents of selected cells are placed to the clipboard.

The command Cut is performed similarly, but all copied cells are cleaned.

To perform the command Paste it is necessary to select the cells in which values from the buffer will be inserted.

Selected set of cells (copying destination) should not necessarily be the same size as the copied block (copying source) and have rectangular shape.

If the copied cell is linked with the record field of some GDB query via the array of values, this very link will be copied, not the current cell value. The system will ask the user to indicate if it is necessary to link the destination cells with the current array of values or a new array should be created.
