Sizes of cells

All the cells located in one table row have the same height, and the cells located in one column have the same width. An exception is only united cells which occupy several rows or/and columns.

The height and width of table cells are measured in table units. When adding a table to the layout the system sets default height of 0.5 of unit for all table rows, and the width of 2 units for all table columns.

To change the height of the table row it is enough to place the cursor on the border separating row numbers (on the left side of the table pane) and drag this border up or down while holding down the mouse button. The width of a column is changed by analogy dragging the border between names of the present and next columns.

To specify the height of rows and width of columns of the table more precisely one should select one or several cells and perform the menu command Format+Height (the button of the standard toolbar) or Format+Width (the button ). In the opened dialog box “Row height” or “Column width” correspondingly it is necessary to enter the appropriate value in table units. The entered value will be applied to all rows or columns which have at least one selected cell.
