Rulers are located along the top and left borders of the editing pane. Turning on and turning off display of rulers is performed by the menu command View+Rulers or by the button 
of the standard toolbar).
Rulers are calibrated in centimeters. They show sizes which layout page will take on paper at printing. The beginning of coordinates of rulers (the point 0, 0) corresponds to the upper left corner of the layout page. Scale factor of rulers depend on the current displaying scale.
When the cursor is within the range of the editing pane, its position is marked by dashed marks on both rulers. It enables the user to choose coordinates of layout elements accurately when arranging them on the layout page.
