The editor of line style (figure 81-1) serves for creation and editing line style. The editor window contains several panes:

editing pane – the main pane of the window. It is used for displaying and editing graphic image of line section;
toolbar contains buttons – tools for editing style;
pane of line style permits changing line style of selected graphic primitive and setting the current line style;
pane of line width allows the user to change the width of lines of selected graphic primitive (if there is any) and set the current width;
palette permits changing the color of selected graphic primitive and setting the current color;
pane of section width shows section width and allows the user to change it;
sample pane displays image of line style being edited;
status bar shows the current editing tool and current position of the cursor in the editing pane.
Access to commands for modification of map symbol is achieved through the toolbar and menu bar.
