The navigation window allows the user to get access to shared or current style library. Access to the current library is possible only if there is some opened GDB. If the GDB is not opened, it is possible to view and edit styles only from shared library.
Commands of the menu Edit of the navigation window serve for creating a new style, for removing and modifying the existing one.
Add – serves for adding a new style into the library. To be more exact, when this item is selected an empty style with the specified name is created, and creation of an image itself should be performed in the style editor which can be run at the command Open.
Rename – permits changing the name of selected style;
Remove – after confirmation selected style is removed from the library. If removed style was used in maps or themes, it will be replaced for the corresponding features in accordance with the rules of style inheritance (chapter 10 “Feature displaying styles”);
Open – style editor window is opened which allows changing the graphic image of selected style;
Copy, Move – permits copying and moving selected style to another library (chapter 60 “Copying and moving a style”).
The menu Tools has only one command Sample. After performing this command an auxiliary window with sample of the style selected in the list pane of the navigation window will be opened. The command Sample is enabled only in the case if some particular style is selected in the pane of the navigation window.
