The editor of vectorial map symbol (figure 79-1) serves for creation and editing vectorial map symbol. The editor window contains several panes:

editing pane – the main pane of the window. It is used for displaying and editing graphic image of map symbol.
toolbar contains buttons – tools for editing a style;
pane of line style permits changing line style of selected graphic primitives and setting the current line style;
pane of line width allows the user to change the width of lines of selected graphic primitive and set the current width;
palette permits changing the color of selected graphic primitive and setting current colors;
sample pane displays image of map symbol being edited;
status bar shows the current editing tool and current position of the cursor in the editing pane.
Access to commands for modification of map symbol is achieved through the toolbar and menu bar.
