Let's examine the two main methods of creating calculated fields:
the command Fields+Calculations in the table browser window;
the command Properties for a query, page “Calculations” of the property sheet of a query.
In the first case a dialog box “Calculations by field” will be opened. It allows creating or removing calculated fields for the selected primary field.
In the second case a dialog box “Properties of query”, page “Calculations” will be opened. It allows creating or removing calculated fields for any primary fields of a query.
